Kent pubs launch new summer menus

The Milk House the picturesque village of Sissinghurst recently introduced their new summer menu that includes grilled langoustines with fennel, smoked lemon and garlic butter and many more delicious meals. Other seasonal local ingredients include cherry blossom, heirloom tomatoes and mini chorizo. The pub sits in the heart of the community with a relaxing open-plan bar, informal dining room and beautiful bedrooms.

The historic Barrow House is located in the idyllic village of Egerton, an easy drive from the M20. To complement the good weather, the pub has recently launched a new summer menu, packed with colourful seasonal dishes and exciting flavours. Alongside your classic favourites, there are fresh salads, BBQ-inspired dishes cooked on the chargrill, refreshing fruity puds and local ice cream. For those who want to spend more time in the village or explore the local area, there are three beautiful bedrooms, all with luxurious en suite bathrooms and enormous beds to ensure the most comfortable overnight stay or relaxing weekend getaway.

The Drift Inn is situated between the New Forest villages of Lyndhurst and Beaulieu and provides a cosy and friendly atmosphere, perfect for the whole family. There are a number of summer offers, one of which where you can purchase tea, coffee & cake for £4.95 every day from 10.30am. Another is Fish and Fizz Thursdays where you receive a glass of fizz as well as Fish and Chips at just £19.95 for two – perfect for a romantic day out.

Drift Inn

Surrey’s The Wheatsheaf stands in the centre of Farnham’s lively market town and creates a buzz particularly at lunch time. The shabby-chic furnishing gives the pub originality and has been newly refurbished. The menu focuses on classic British dishes and ingredients, to reflect the building’s history as a ‘proper pub’.

The quaint Sussex village of West Hoathly near Gatwick Airport is home to the Cat Inn which boasts a tile-hung exterior that fronts a delightful pub atmosphere buzzing with locals who are proud to share their hidden gem with visitors. A range of ales supporting the local microbreweries, draught cider and a good range of wines by the glass are provided by the bar. With accommodation that goes that extra mile, this inn will spoil you for a few days. 

Enjoy stunning architecture in the English summer sun

Walpole Arms is set within the North Northfolk countryside and surrounded by beautiful gardens. This traditional red-brick building dates back to the 18th century and stands behind an extensive front lawn, encircled by an unusual woven fence.
