Success Again for Salisbury Pubs and Great Country Pubs

13th September 2013

Categories: Blog

Four Great Country Pubs - the Royal Oak near Marlow; the Alford Arms in Frithsden; the Swan Inn in Denham and the Old Queens Head near High Wycombe - are collectively part of the Salisbury Pubs group. And we are delighted to be able to report that in The Good Pub Guide Awards 2014, Salisbury Pubs picked up ‘Pub Group of the Year’.

As if that wasn't enough success for one day, the Alford Arms also won ‘Dining Pub of the Year for Hertfordshire’ – this is the ninth time since 2003 that The Alford Arms has got this particular gong – and The Royal Oak was ‘Dining Pub of the Year for Buckinghamshire' – getting this for the fourth year in a row.

These are the 14th, 15th and 16th awards that Salisbury Pubs have acquired from the Good Pub Guide since the pub group was founded in 1999. What an achievement for them and an honour for Great Country Pubs!
