The Birch

The Birch nestles quietly on the outskirts of a tiny village in an idyllic country setting and offers up a most welcoming sight. The exterior is quintessentially British – an immaculately maintained facade highlights cutesy olive green shutters beneath a tiled porch supported by old wooden beams – and offers a splash of stunning colour year round. But once inside you will soon discover a totally different image.

As soon as you enter the building you come across the well-lit reception area and bar, coupled with bar stalls and an eye-catching trendy bar. Leather lounging sofas, mirrors, ornaments and varied plants make every corner and wall attention-grabbing, too.

You can dine in the lower restaurant, the adjoining upper dining area or the conservatory. But where ever you choose designer-chic furnishings and décor follow you around. Shades of lime, grey and midnight blue blend beautifully throughout with the high ceilings, light wood, modern flooring and contemporary artwork on the walls.

The cuisine is excellent offering English/Continental style dishes and an open griddle area allows diners the opportunity to choose from a selection of fresh steaks/fish, cooked to their preference by talented chefs. The Head Chef loves to introduce new concepts to entice and impress diners by his personal cooking style, which blends all the influences of his years’ working at the highest level.

The dining area leads to a pleasant patio with a Mediterranean feel and water feature, ideal for enjoying a pre-dinner drink.

The Birch is a small family run establishment that has earned an excellent reputation and pedigree in the area for delivering excellent quality food. There is certainly a good feel about the place that is warm and welcoming. The service is impeccable and efficient and staff very friendly, making the all-round eating and drinking experience here a joyous one.
