Kings Arms

Nestling in the beautiful South Downs, the Kings Arms has recently come under new management and is, once again, very much alive and kicking. This historic stone, timber-framed building dating back to the 17th century, formerly housed the restaurant of celebrity chef Pierre Marco White.

Beer barrels and a large paved area to the front give the pub a real traditional English country pub feel. Inside, the Grade II listed building has been lovingly restored to its former splendour offering a taste of how a real pub should be in a relaxed yet professional environment, welcoming travellers and locals alike. The beamed bar area with inglenook fireplace, provides an ideal space for both eating and drinking, while the separate restaurant area opens up onto a patio and beer garden.

The Kings Arms kitchen looks to provide modern, English cuisine, with a focus on local, micro-suppliers. With European and global touches, all our food is prepared on site. At Sunday lunch a roast is added to the wide-ranging menu.

The six individually designed en suite bedrooms, in the form of a converted flint stable block, have also been refurbished to a high standard. All are pristine, decorated in stylish neutral colours with large comfy beds. A further two rooms are currently being refurbished.
